There is no law to say that you cannot get married without flower bouquets for weddings. Wedding bouquet flowers are central to a beautiful day celebration. Flowers are visual three dimensional elements. They satisfy all the senses as they are elegant, beautiful and provide a wonderful scent. The flowers you choose should complement all facets of your wedding. Their colors should complement not just only your dress but also the colors of the decor of your reception and the ceremony locations.

To ensure that you get the best floral arrangement design, you will need to hire a bridal florist (unless you are lucky to be one or have the creativeness of one). The florist should be experienced with wedding flower arrangements. Your bridal florist should be able to deliver, install, and remove the flower arrangements. Many reception halls can make recommendations of a bridal florist for you, you should still go out and look around. You may find some that can do a better job and at a much lower cost. Part of your research include asking for references, and be sure to follow up. Ask the florist to see pictures of their wedding flower arrangements. Be sure to ask them to show you their work in actual reception/ceremony locations.

Things to Consider

Your wedding flowers should complement the season, your wedding dress, and your overall color scheme. Your wedding flowers should also complement your wedding party (bridesmaids, groomsmen) attire, and the theme of your wedding.

Before meeting your florist, prepare a list of wedding flowers you'll need. This will keep the discussions focused and help with the wedding budget. When you do not know what you want, you could be persuaded to spend more than you had planned. Your florist should be able to recommend the flower arrangements based on the size and location of your wedding. If you have an idea of what you want, you can even bring pictures or even magazines that resemembles your ideas. Even though your florist will give great ideas on everything you do not need to accept everything he/she says. You should be part of the decision making process. So if you feel strongly about a certain flower or color, say so. The florist should be able to provide your with alternative ideas. That is part of their job. If not, move on. You have to feel good about your wedding flower arrangements. After all this is your wedding day and you want it to be as perfect as possible.
